Andy Willis studied at the respected Surrey Institute of Art and Design, graduating their Film and Video degree in 2003 with a 2:1 with Honors. He is also the recipient of the Co-Operative Young Film Makers Festival Screening Award which he received in 2001.

He has experience in many areas of filmmaking and specializes as a Director of Photography but can also turn his hand to editing and writing as well as stills photography. He divides his time across freelance work where he acts as DOP, Cameraman or editor.

Andy brings his unique stylistic vision to all his work and his most recent projects include work as Director of Photography on Silvertip Films “Reality Sucks” and a film called “ForWhatEverGoodbye”, which is currently in post-production. He also worked as cameraman (as well as having a cameo role!) in Silvertip Films’ “The Audioreavers” and recently worked on the E.D.S Driving Instructional Video shoot too. He has also been working on a documentary for a local farm in his home town of Malmesbury and has a number of other projects in the pipeline.

Andy is skilled is using many different DVCams including Sony and JVC models and currently operates a Sony VX1000. He has training with Adobe Premire and Media 100 editing programs and is used to working with Adobe Photoshop as well as having a basic knowledge of programs like 3D Studio Max and Adobe After Effects.
