Silvertip Films

Chris studied filmmaking at the New York Film Academy in 2004, writing and directing four pieces. His on-set experience began immediately and prior to joining Silvertip Films in 2005 he worked as crew on twelve projects, with formats varying from HD to 35mm.

Gaining knowledge of the operation of many aspects of a film shoot, he worked as a 1st Assistant Director, supplying both creative and logistical input to the smooth running of productions. His credits include the short "Eat Yourself Slim" which was screened on BBC2, and he has been fortunate enough to work with excellent crews with both TV and feature film experience.

Primarily working as a Camera Operator and Editor, Chris has been involved with music videos, weddings, live music and theatre events, short films, interviews, showreels and corporates. He owns and works with the Sony Z1 camera and also has experience of the Sony PD170 and Canon XL2. His projects have included work on short films for festivals, business-related projects for Wagamama and Astra Zeneca and a promotional shoot whose output was pitched to M&S Saatchi and Cartier in London.

Chris works on a Final Cut Pro 5 editing suite and has produced many DVDs, predominantly of theatre shows. His editing credits also include short films and promotional material, and has significant experience of editing wedding films, all of which require different approaches.

Alongside his work with moving pictures, Chris offers skill in digital stills photography, capturing live events as well as images for DVD sleeves and promotional material.

With a business background supplementing huge creativity and a keen eye for scene setting, Chris enjoys using the camera in a variety of scenarios and continues to broaden his portfolio through his directorship of Silvertip Films.
