SILVERTIP FILMS is a group of fresh, talented and passionate filmmakers who, between them, cover all aspects of a production - from writing, directing & producing, to lighting, camera, editing and post-production, together with stills photography and DVD authoring & duplication. They can turn their creative skills toward many different styles of filmmaking and genres - music videos, promotional videos, live concert filming, short films, documentaries, showreels and more.

Led by Geoff Cockwill and Chris Towndrow and joined by a crew of talented freelancers, SILVERTIP FILMS' principal crew members have a wealth of filming experience ranging from music videos and live concert shoots to short films and corporate work, broadcast adverts to promo videos and more. Their individual work outside SILVERTIP FILMS has included a diverse array of projects with a network of talented professionals with broadcast TV and mainstream cinema credits. At SILVERTIP FILMS, we believe in a friendly yet professional approach, a collaborative working ethic with our clients and value for money. Our creative crew is brimming with ideas, drawing on diverse influences from across many visual mediums, whilst retaining a practical approach and always seeking to deliver a product which matches the needs of the project.

Recent examples of our work include the Singapore location-based music video for JOHN KLASS and ‘Jingkli Nona’ and the debut video for STEVEY JAY and ‘Right Girl’ as well as NAVIN and 'Zinda Hoon' and TWM and 'Joystick' and the MTV International aired 'Summer' by JON SCOTT plus the debut video for PHUBUS and 'It's Not My Fault' which aired across the UK. Previous videos include two for KODY and their tracks 'Charlotte Knows' and 'London, England' and ROMAIN and 'Temptations' alongside older videos for SLASHED SEAT AFFAIR and 'Dislocated' which was played across the UK in store at Top Shop and Toni and Guy and MR TI2BS and 'Charity' which was aired on MTV Base and Channel U. We continue to work on projects with our existing bands as well as working with the best of the rising new bands in the UK.

Multi-camera live shoots we have carried out recently have included gigs from WHITE SUNDAY at Guilfest 2007 and VANITY FARE at Gosport Waterfront Festival and ADORA at EROTICA as well as PHIL RYAN'S 'NIGHT OF ACOUSTIC EXCELLENCE'. We’ve also worked on an instore for JONO MCCLEERY and live shoots for HIJERA and DRAVEN. We’ve also worked with indie record labels like Worst Case Scenario, Junk and Kemet and artist management like Bridge St Artist Management and Purple Fox and we are continuing to develop our relationships with people like RawRip, OceanFall and Vision Music Promotions.

We have made corporate videos and promotional videos for companies and shows including OCTANORM, GRAND PRIX LEGENDS and the SCARLET FEVER cabaret and the WINTERSHALL NATIVITY PLAY. We also make EPKs for bands on DVD featuring live tracks, an interview and a photo gallery and we have made a number of these for bands including ADORA and PHIL RYAN, a promotional disc and trailer for another Wintershall play and a number of acting showreels.

Our portfolio is broadening to include work on shooting and editing actors’ showreels and we have been adding value to our music video clients by providing them with a stills photography package that dovetails well with the video shoot, allowing images to be used on band websites, DVD covers and other promotional material. Recent photo shoots include DRAVEN, MACH SCHAU and WHITE SUNDAY.

SILVERTIP FILMS’ past short films include the strangely successful "Attack of the Lobstermen from Mars" and the BBC Big Screen Shortlisted "Best Comedy" 'Veronica V.' and 'Downstream' both of which have screened at various film festivals and on other websites.
