SILVERTIP FILMS’ video production services range from music videos to live concert & event filming through to promotional videos, live showreels, short films and more. We cover all aspects of a production - from directing & producing to lighting, camera and editing and post-production, together with stills photography and DVD authoring & duplication. Led by Geoff Cockwill and Chris Towndrow and joined by a network of talented freelancers, SILVERTIP FILMS' principal crew members have a wealth of filming experience on a diverse array of projects including work with household names in the music business, broadcast TV work and cinema credits.

At SILVERTIP FILMS, we believe in a friendly yet professional approach, a collaborative working ethic with our artists and clients and value for money. Our creative crew is brimming with ideas, drawing on diverse influences from across many visual media, whilst retaining a practical approach borne of our experience. This means that we work with you to avoid potential mis-steps: foreseeing logistical difficulties, establishing a realistic shooting schedule, avoiding budget overruns. The ideas may be yours, ours, or achieved through discussion, but the proposition will always be practical, and with a great-looking video always the end goal.

In this age of cheap camcorders, home editing and effects packages, it is easy to produce a cheap video…which looks cheap. What we offer is a professionally constructed video, crewed by full-time professionals and not students, priced at competitive rates, which looks as good as what you might see at home on TV. Indeed, our MUSIC VIDEO work has been broadcast on numerous channels including MTV, MTV Base, Smash Hits!, Bubble Fizz, Starz, AKA and B4U and the videos have covered a variety of musical genres and involved filming in locations from a London rooftop through to Ealing Studios and across the world to a Singapore beach!

Recent videos include the internationally broadcast HD studio video "Lady" by G3, "Night Night Baby" by Nina Beste and "Unspeakable" by Nikki Patton shot in partnership with Create Films for Cubit Records. Past successes include "All of You" by Alana Estrella, broadcast on Smash Hits!, Bubble and Fizz, the MTV International aired "Summer" by JON SCOTT and "Why Don’t You Come" by SWIFT it MAJOR, broadcast on MTV.

Our LIVE work covers a variety of multi-camera shoots with multi-channel audio recording and mixing, from band gigs to festivals, theatre productions, amateur dramatic shows and events. In the last two years we have filmed at GUILFEST and Gosport Festivals and our cost-effective shooting options that attract emerging musicians who wish to showcase their live act as well as tribute and cover bands who will benefit from being able to show potential bookers what they are like in action.

We have relationships with people like Rush Release who can help get your songs and videos promoted and played, Scarlet Entertainment, RawRip, OceanFall and the Association of Independent Music who are there for bands like you.

Our SHOWREELS are diverse in their creation and final output - multi-camera live shoots for band showreels, portfolios for actors and presenters, edits of previously shot footage to make an actors showreel, live events, and ‘AS-LIVE’ shoots that allow a band to generate a live feel to their promo video whilst retaining control over the content in a studio environment.

SILVERTIP FILMS’ past SHORT FILMS include the recent Award Winning "The Beachcombers" which starred Rasmus Hardiker and Charity Wakefield, directed by Chris Croucher and Mark Beynon and went on to win the ITV London Tonight People’s Choice Award at the Best Of Borough Awards, presented at BAFTA in July 2008, the strangely successful "Attack of the Lobstermen from Mars", now on its third installment and the BBC Big Screen Shortlisted "Best Comedy" 'Veronica V.'
