Live Audio Recording and Mixing

HDLR was established to raise the standard of live multi track recording and post production. 

Founders Fran Hunter and Graham Dominy have experience of working in both the Recording Studio and Live Event fields to the highest standards, giving them an in depth knowledge of what is required to achieve a live recording to standards which are appreciated by Studio Engineers and Producers alike. The pair met whilst both working at Dave Stewarts Church Studios in Crouch End, London in 2002 and have since build up a professional relationship which has seen them work with a wide variety of studios and live records for artists including Prince, Lionel Ritchie, Alicia Keys, Supergrass, Jimmy Cliff, Laura Marling and Belle and Sebastian (with the London Contemporary Orchestra), while working at venues as wide ranging as the 02 Arena London, the Royal Albert Hall, York Minster and an array of circuit venues and festivals in the UK and in Europe. 

Fran's CV includes roles as Technical Manager for studios such as Miloco, The Church Studio’ and SSE Audio Group, as well as on an advisory, freelance and sub contract basis for the majority of the leading pro audio companies in the UK. 

Graham began his career at The Church Studios in 1995 where he gained a wealth of experience in all aspects of sound theory and engineering. He quickly progressed from in-house Assistant to Chief Engineer and worked on a huge variety of projects for Dave Stewart and went on to hone his skills working with many Producers such as Chris Sheldon, Gil Norton, Adrian Sherwood, Dennis Bovell, Alan Moulder and Flood. Graham has been freelance for over 5 years working in many of the London Studios for a variety of major artists.
