The Muscats - Face Up
'Muscats' will make you move your feet using a potent combination of dancey indie beats, scratchy rhythms and corrupting melodies.
The bands debut single is due for release 15 March 2010 through Atomica Records. You will love it!
The performance based video for the band was a two camera set up, shot on location at the old Bellerby Theatre rehearsal space in Guildford.
We shot simultaneously and shot in a mixture of standard "safe" camerawork and more energetic, rough around the edges shots to fit with the style of the song, which goes from rhythmic verses to stuttering, punky choruses.
The lighting was kept minimal to focus on the band, utilising lens flare in the main performance set up with flashes of light from behind the band members and reflections off the instruments. The individual performance shots were spotlit to create a moody feel.
