AIR RAID are the up and coming messiahs of rock and roll. It's ok if you don't believe it, you'll just get left behind...
We filmed the band at their single launch night at London's too2much venue in 2006. To capture their vitality onstage, we used 4 cameras shooting simultaneously and to give them a larger than live, retro rock feel, we had one of the cameras down the front, looking up at the band to increase their stage presence on camera.
We kept the camerawork lively to reflect the sound of the band and in the edit, kept a fast pace to go in time with the music. We also adjusted the image a bit, washing some colours out to make the video look more 1970s in style, enhancing colours to create a neon soaked look and a few other tricks as well...
A fresh young band developed by legendary former Led Zeppelin and Bad Company producer Stuart Epps,combine the very best of classic rock with the raw energy of youth in one awesome package. Their debut EP; The Blitz, Herbal Essence, Out of the Blue and The Beacon, keep to the traditions of a classic rock band but with a modern twist. Hailing from Aberdare,South Wales, the band were formed in Nov 2005 from the cream of local bands and their story began with the song writing team of Ragsy and Kevin, recording and working on songs, which have now become the foundation of Air Raid. Ragsy had been singing in local bands whilst Kevin's love of the guitar began at an early age,working with local musicians and aspiring to the greats. Dower had previously been in a band with Ragsy, his power and natural rhythm is the driving force to the Air Raid sound. Gavin Davies was a friend of Dower they both played in local bands from school.
With gigs in London at venues like The Barfly, Underworld, Carling Acadamy and tour support slots, returning to their hometowns with gigs at the Barfly Cardiff and Clwb Ifor Bach.
