Back in 2000 A.D. a group of London University students met up in a dark corner of a student union bar and got talking. Having realized they had a common bond in music, they embarked on forming a band that they hoped would rock the world. One slight problem....most of the band had never seriously played an instrument!!! Kan, who founded the band, can still remember the first practice session. To put it simply, it was a disaster!
Over the days, months and years of university, the band practiced hard when and where they could in empty lecture theatres, dingy common rooms, abandoned toilets, you name it.... The band changed over the years with drummers and guitarists coming and going. However, the real crossroad was met when the band lost their singer who left for personal reasons. With only Kan and Shaon left from the original line up, difficult decisions had to be made on the future of the band.
Eventually, the passion for the band prevailed and they went on a search to complete the band line-up. Auditions were held and it did not take the boys long to find their new front man, Arup. With the returning Jas, The Revelation was formed. The band's baptism of fire came just 6 months later when they were thrusted into the limelight in front of 2000 screaming students at the Hammersmith Palais for a tsunami charity gig.
From that moment onwards, the band has grown from strength to strength. Over time, the band's music has evolved influenced by bands such as Tool, Audioslave, Rage against the Machine, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Incubus to name a few. However, the band ethos remains the same which is 'to rock the world'. Highlights to date include recording their 1st EP named 'Insecurity' and touring the North London gig circuit.
