Mesh-29 - "White Light"
After being only the second unsigned band of all time to enter the Official UK Charts (at #35) Mesh-29 return in 2008 with their new single "White Light".
The video is a stripped down performance piece, focusing on the two main members of the band and to reflect their acoustic guitar and piano instrumentation.
Shot in a small warehouse with big windows which poured sunlight in to really enhance the 'white light' feel to the video, a 35mm lens adaptor was utilised on the shoot to enhance the depth of field and focus use in the shots. This can be seen effectively when lead singer Alex walks up to, and away from, the mic and moves in and out of focus as he does so. During the edit, the video was turned black and white and the contrast altered to create the moody look in the final edit.
