SWIFT it MAJOR - "Why Don't You Come"

"Why Don't You Come" is an infectious rap track with a dose of sing-along club anthem choruses and pop stylings to create a song about a lads night out - its fast, chaotic, full of life and just a little bit fun!

The video for the track features performance mixed with narrative elements, which tell the story of the night. The narrative features dialogue sections which synch with the track which itself jumps between straight rapping and lines of dialogue which fit the story. We went for a fast moving, vibrant looking style to the club scenes inside and a darker, but not moody, look to the exterior club scenes. Some After Effects work enhanced the overall look.

The performance sections feature Swift against a plain black backdrop with visual interest provided by the multi coloured fluro tubes. A streak filter was used to enhance to effect given by these and add more to the performance. A fish eye lens was also used to give a more traditional "rap" feel to some shots and adds an element of humour at points with the actions on the shots. We also had a beat reactive light system on some of the performance shots as well, creating a pulsing light effect. Random split screen effects are also used to exentuate certain moments in the track and were accomplished by two cameras filming the performance at the same time.

The narrative shots feature a mix of hand held, tripod and tracked shots as well.

After the main video is a short teaser for "How It Is", another song on Swifts album. This was shot in the same performance set up and was worked on in After Effects to create the look.

Swift It Major AKA Rob Swift has been rhyming seriously for a few years now. Once a member of the SBK sound, swift developed his sharp style of rhyming by dabbling in Garage bars with fellow MCs.

Swift dropped his second MixCD 'ROAD WORK' in April 2006 which received a massive response on road. He is now working on his Album which is due for release in 2009.
